About the edition Dermatology in Russia

Aims and Scope

The "Dermatology in Russia" website started in 2007 and was conceived as national dermatology server: the first All-Russian professional portal and a project of integrative network for dermatologists. The project mission is to rejoin the efforts of Russian clinicians and researchers from different institutions, professional and academic communities and to buid together a new, free and open space for exchange of experience, continuing professional education and communication for dermatologists of Russia, neighboring and foreign countries.The emerging innovative medium is intended to foster new developments of Russian dermatology, thus improving care for dermatological patients.

The recent aims of the edition are:

  • To provide the medical community with information on the most important events in national dermatology
  • To create an open framework for professional communication
  • To develop and publish innovative education media in dermatovenereology including rich media 
  • To provide All-Russian and international information support for new developments of Russian dermatologists
  • To support national scientific and professional societies with information and public relations
  • To monitor relevant opinions of medical community and support their influence on all-level decision-making in healthcare management, research and education
  • To develop open, effective and independent tools for integration and review of national publications and research data in the field of dermatology

From September 15, 2009, the status of dermatology.ru website (Дерматология в России, Dermatologia v Rossii, Eng Dermatology in Russia) was approved by Federal Service for control of communications, information technology and mass media, as official electronic edition registered in Russia (see the Approval certificate EL FS77-37502). Thus, www.dermatology.ru website became the first Russian professional electronic edition in the field of dermatology. According to the registration data, edition is published online for Russia and foreing countries, with languages of Russian and English (starting from 2010).

Currently Dermatology in Russia represents the official editorial body of the listed organizations:

  • Interregional teledermatology society
  • Russian society of dermoscopy and optical diagnosis of skin (est. 2007)
  • A.I. Pospelov Moscow scientific society of dermatovenereologists (est. 1891, until 2011)
  • All-Russian National academy of mycology (dermatovenereology section, est. 2000)
  • Russian society of Atopic Dermatitis (2004-2007)
