3rd World Psoriasis & Psoriatic Arthritis Conference will take place in Stockholm, Sweden, between the dates June 27- July 1, 2012. The scientific program will also, as before, be strongly influenced by IFPA’s worldwide member survey, to ensure that the patient’s perspective is included. There will also be special seminars and side tracks for nurses, allied health professionals and others, who have a most important role in the care of psoriasis patients.

The special two-day conference of Russian Dermatoscopy Society was organized during 2EAAD Congress in Moscow on March 22 and 23, 2012. About 150 dermatologists and oncologists attended to Society breakout sessions and symposia. On March 22, the 1st Russian consensus meeting on dermatoscopy nomenclature was convened with intense discussion following preliminary online voting by over 300 clinicians. On March 23, the Head of Russian Dermatoscopy Initiative, Vasily Y. Sergeev MD, Ph.D. declared the successfull completion of 2009-2012 programme of Russian Dermatoscopy Society, resulting with serial production of RDS-1 HD multispectral videodermatoscope and development of national teledermoscopy network. The device was on display at the Society booth during 2EAAD.

The 16th interregional conference "Dermatovenereology of Siberia: from science to practice" took place in Novosibirsk, Russia on March 15 and 16, 2012. Some 300 clinicians from Russia and neighboring states attended to 4 sessions with about 50 talks given. The yearly A.A. Bogolepov award was bestowed on prof. I.O. Malova (Irkutsk) and E.A. Kruk (Tomsk) by the conference chairperson, leader of Siberian dermatologists, prof. S.G. Lykova. 

The twenty-ninth conference "Rachmanov readings" organized by dermatology department of First Moscow State Medical University was held in Moscow, Russia, on January 26-27, 2012. The conference included 9 plenary and breakout sessions and a dermatoscopy workshop. The leading topic this year was "The bullous dermatoses", with invited speakers from leading research centers of Russia. Prof. Miklós Sárdy from München, Germany, delivered a review lecture, praising the contribution of Russian dermatologists and Pyotr Nikolsky to the field of bullous dermatoses. About 500 participants from Russia and CIS attended the sessions. 

The First Forum "Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology: A Synthesis of Science and Practice" succeeded in Moscow on October 11 and 12, 2011. The Forum was organized by Moscow Healthcare Department under the auspices of National Alliance of Dermatovenereologists and Cosmetologists. Two plenary sessions, 8 workshops, 14 satellite symposia, round-table talks and masterclasses provided more than 100 lectures and presentations for about 900 healthcare specialists from Moscow and other regions of Russia.

The Fith Russian Conference "Saint-Petersbourg Dermatological Readings" was held on October 3 and 4, 2011, at the same venue at St.-Petersbourg. The conference, organized by local V.M. Tarnovsky Dermatology Society, was officially dedicated to 125 anniversary of St.-Petersbourg MAPE dermatology department. On the scientific agenda were one plenary and 9 breakout sessions, 11 symposia, 2 round-table meetings and a special cosmetology programme.

During the Readings, Russian Dermoscopy Society presented a special seminar "Russian Dermoscopy Innovation Programme", introducing for the first time in St.-Petersbourg the Russian Digital Dermatoscope, RDS-1. The audience was granted a possibility of practicizing with RDS-1 and diagnostic software.

The interdiscplinary conference "Actual questions of dermatovenereology and cosmetology" took place in Sochi, Russia, on June 16, 2011. The conference added to the programe of the Forum "Medicine of today and tomorrow" 3 breakout sessions and a videoconference on STI.

Interdisciplinary conference "Current issues in oncodermatology, cosmetology and dermatovenereology" gathered over 100 clinicians from Kaliningrad region on May 30, 2011. Workshop on skin cancer diagnosis and prevention included keynote lectures by leading oncologists and dermatologists from Moscow, St. Petersburg and Kaliningrad.

Regional conference of Russian IUSTI guild of STI specialists was succesfully conducted in Kazan, Russia, on April 28 and 29, 2011. Attendees gathered from Tatarstan and several cities of Volga region, Taganrog, Orenburg, Ufa, Izhevsk and Kirov.

Interregional conference "Current Topics in Dermatovenereology and Cosmetology" took place in Vologograd, Russia, on April 15, 2011. Conference key topics included mucocutaneous infections and chronic inflammatory disorders.
